Why outside your tenant matters
Microsoft keeps your service running, but it is not a backup of your data in the sense most businesses assume. Retention windows are limited, and anything deleted by a compromised admin account can be deleted everywhere. Our backup is held outside your tenant, so a compromised admin account cannot delete your safety net.
